About Me:
I'm in the tenth grade, and for my last 2 years of high school I'm transferring to a different school, and applying to become an IB CERTIFICATE student. NOT diploma. This means I can only take a limited amount of IB courses. In this case, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
Now, I'm not a rocket scientist, but I have ambitions and high expectations of myself to be accepted into med school. I know it takes hard work and focus. I'm not stranger to that, but everyone is telling me how BAD IB is. Not how great the learning experience is or how far ahead it can get you in life, but how heavy the workloads are and the limited hours of sleep you get. Once again, however, I'm not enrolling in the full IB diplomacy program, but the courses I have chosen for IB I'd say would provide a considerable workload. I'm more hoping someone can provide an explanation of the sheer understanding and intellectual ability it takes, because I already know I can handle lots of work.
Please do not answer like I have no idea what I'm getting into, I'm a fairly smart guy and have maintained high enough grades to get recommendations for this program. I just want some (preferably) first hand insight, but all answers will be accepted gratefully. Thank you.
